Boil Water Notice
March 17, 2026
PB&SC Water Supply has issued a Boil Water Notice for ALL customers on Well #1. Water had to be shut off to make repairs on a main line.
The Texas Commission of Enviromental Quality has required PB&SC Water Supply to notify all customers in the affected area to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g. washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.). Children, seniors, and persons with weakend immune systems are particularly vunerable to harmful bacteria and all customers should follow these directions.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption pueposes. The water should be brought to a rigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, PB&SC Water officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking and human consumption purposes.
Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly.
If you have any questions concerning this matter you may contact PB&SC Water at (936)377-4811.
