PB&SC Water has issued a boil water notice for all of Lake Oaks Landing subdivision. Water had to be shut off to make a repair on a 4 inch water line.
The Texas Commission on Enviromental Quality has required PB&SC Water to notify all customers in the affected area to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g. washing hand/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.). Children, seniors and persons with weakend immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria and all customers should follow their directions.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior ro use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a rigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, PB&SC Water officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking and human consumption purposes.
Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly.
If you have any questions concerning this matter you may contact PB&SC Water at 936-377-4811.
