PB&SC Water Supply has issues a boil water notice for all customers on Hwy 156 and all side streets off of Hwy 156. Water had to be shut off to make repairs on a main line.
The Texas Commission of Enviromental Quality has required PB&SC Water to notify all customers in the affected area to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g. washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc). Children, seniors and persons with weakend immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria and all customers should follow their directions.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for driinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a rigorous boil and then boiled for two minutes.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, PB&SC Water officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking and human consumption purposes.
Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, espicially those who may not have received this notice directly.
If you have any questions concerning this matter you may contact PB&SC Water at (936)377-4811.
