PB & SC Water is issuing a boil water notice for all of Wilderness Road and all roads extending off of Wilderness Road due to a main line break that requires the water to be shut off for repairs.
The Texas Commission of Enviromental Quality requires PB &SC Water Supply to notify all customers in the effected areas to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.) Children, seniors and persons with weakend immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria and all customers should follow theses directions.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to using for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.
In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water from some other suitable source for drinking water and human consumption purposes.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, PB&SC Water Supply officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking and human consumption purposes.
Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, PB&SC will issue a notice in a manner simular to this notice. Please share this information with all other people who drink this water, especially those who may not receive this notice directly.
If you have any questions concerning this matter you may contact PB&SC Water Suppy at 936-377-4811.
